v-day is such a non event for us that i didn't even consider whether or not we should. we did have playgroup today, but he did vday stuff at school (art projects, got valentines) and i feel like that is pretty much in line with how we feel about the 'holiday' in our house...
I told DH we were starting that Daddy/Daughter small gift thing that you and Matt do with Addie. We are such copycats.
you know what's funny? I don't remember half the things I did with boyfriends for valentine's day, but I remember everything my dad did. When I was in college, he bought me a heart of candy and put it in the freezer till I came home for spring break.
I bought Kendall a little bag full of Valentine toys/goodies & a Valentine cupcake from Sugarbaby's. Dh got her a card & gift, as well. And we both got her some Curious George pajamas.
And we took a trip to Build-A-Bear together.
Prior to today, Kendall helped me make Valentine cookies for all of her playgroup friends....and little bags of Valentine themed stuff for her classmates.
She also picked out the card she wanted to give to her daddy.

I got her a Happy 1st V-day card and a cute little doll dressed in a Valentine's outfit. My mom got her some cute heart shaped plates and MIL sent a card.
I got her a bag full of goodies (sunglasses, vday stamps, candy, candy flavor lip balm) and also a stuff monkey. We went to the zoo this morning. And if it wasn't for such a rough night, we wanted to do the whole nice dinner and go do a dessert place. We didn't make it pass noon and were all exhausted.
DH just got back from a business trip to Asia yesterday. He brought Sarah a cute kimono and an adorable Hello Kitty geisha doll for Elizabeth from Japan. I gave each girl a card (mainly to put in their baby books) and we all ate chocolates, except for E. who's still too young.
The girls made cards for their daddy yesterday morning, which he loved. I gave DH a wooden box for his cufflinks and a card. That was the extent of it.
Valentines was always about cards and chocolate when I was growing up.
We got Eloise a new book and wrote happy valentines in the front of it. SS got a card. We all ate chocolate and I made heart shaped brownies. These were Eloise's first brownies and I have to say she has all the makings of a chocoholic.
