So things have been a bit chaotic which I was expecting. Things at the hospital went well. Abigail was fantastic at latching on though my milk didn't come in until Saturday night. After my milk came in she wasn't interested anymore! I think we're doing better now but I totally forgot how frustrating and stressful the beginning of bfing was the last time. And yes, Abigail has already made it into the bed. It's the only way that she will sleep.
Went to the pedi this morning and she is down to 6lbs 1oz from her birth weight of 6lbs 15ozs and she was looking pretty yellow so I'm waiting on a call back with her levels.
Reagan last night spiked a 103 fever but this morning it was down to 101 and we are due to check it again soon with her next tylenol dose. Hard to keep her away from Abigail since she doesn't really understand. Reagan is positively in love with her baby sister and just randomly will give her kisses and talks and sings to her. Abigail loves her as well as Reagan calms her down!
I am exhausted but in a good way.
Re: Crazy days......
aww. I'm glad Reagan has adjusted well to her baby sister. That is one of my biggest fears with having another kid!
I hope Abigail's levels aren't too bad and you can just help them out with lots of sunlight (if you can actually find it!) at home. It's definitely hard to keep the kiddos away from each other when one is sick, even when your oldest is 9 and understands!
*hugs*
awhh.... I am so so glad that Reagan loves her baby sister... how fun is that?
and I am sure you are exhausted but how fun!
Let us know how her levels turn out and hope that R-girl feels better soon!!!
So Tasty, So Yummy
