  • Tell them this next time when they say your dates must be wrong:

Or your contact/glasses prescription is wrong.

  • I had a woman tell me I don't look pregnant this last week. I wasn't sure how to take it. So on one side I felt a little better about growing so much, but then again does she just think I am overweight and gaining extra by the week? haha.
  • You are not crazy. I don't think you look like you're due next month.
  • lol. i get that feeling from some people too.

  • No, I haven't had any rude comments like that. People at work all know when I'm due as does my family, and I've only had 2 strangers ask about my pregnancy so far. You need to send off stronger "f*ck off!" vibes. :)

  • I get comments like that all the time...from extended family members and coworkers. My mom reminds me that there are a lot of people who haven't been around pregnant women much, and only know what they see on TV and movies.
  • First of all, you are not that big!

But some people are clueless. And rude.

I dealt with that during my first pregnancy.  I have a feeling I am not going to take it so nicely this time around! So people better watch out. LOL

  • I get comments like that all the time and it sucks. Yes, I know I'm huge - thank you for pointing it out. I would never go up to someone and say, wow you're fat or you're ugly, so why people think it's just fine to say that to a pregnant woman is beyond me.

Try to not let it bother you. I think you have a cute bump and are not huge at all! (I'm almost that big and I'm due in August!)

  • My belly has popped since Christmas (the last time I saw my in-laws), well this weekend they stayed with us and they went on and on for over an hour saying things like "how far along are you?", "well, you might be having twins", "you're huge", "you shouldn't be that big at this point".  They are there in my house telling how huge I am (my MIL is bigger than I am and probably bigger than I will be at 9 months).  They are also telling me advice that is outdated and just plain wrong.  It was so annoying.  I'm glad my co-workers (mostly mid-aged women with children) are all telling me I'm small for 26 weeks.  I still cried to my DH for a good hour that night, though.

Don't people get that as pregnant women we don't always feel like we're glowing and beautiful, and they should lay off making comments about it?  I'm not about to tell my MIL that she could lose 50 lbs, so why would she think its okay to tell me I'm huge?

  • I've heard similar comments.  Like my mom always said, "Consider the source."  People are ignorant.
