Babies: 9 - 12 Months

DH thinks I'm being irrational

because im afraid to leave ds with his parents. They have told me flat out that the dropped Dh at least five times when he was a baby.

Do you think I am?

Re: DH thinks I'm being irrational

  • I can't really help, I think that DH's mom is insane, I won't leave DS with her...

  • I would not feel great about leaving a baby with them.

This, if this is the only sign they have given you.

  • if dh's parents were serious about dropping him, i would not leave him.  of course i don't really like to leave dd anywhere...i guess my mom is ok, but honestly it makes me nervous even though she follows my instructions to the t.

  • Babies are wiggly, and your DH obviously turned out fine. I think you are being irrational..people drop babies! Probably more people than would ever admit. It'd be wrong to keep DS away from your IL's because of a reason like that.

    Hello! free babysitters! =) I <3 Grandparents.

    2 losses
    2 beautiful children
    proud mommy!
  • Do you believe your DH has been changed mentally or physically due to these dropsies? Seriously?

  • Do you believe they might actually drop DS?  How do they seem when you are all together?  If so, I would not leave him with the ILs.  I would not leave DS with anyone that I was concerned with.  Of course, it is a million times more complex because it is family and I am sure you don't want to hurt them...
    Nothing to see here....
  • Oh no! I totally understand your concerns but if you know and feel like in your heart they try their best and are not doing anything to harm your DC I would think you should feel more comfortable leaving him.
