I need a good insert for a heavy wetter

We are using FB with their mf inserts. DS seems to soak them quite quickly and then we get some leaks. When we double up, they are so bulky I can barely get any pants on him! Can you recommend an insert that is more absorbant, but trim as well?

    I hear hemp (particularly foofoo hemp, since it's pre-prepped and ready to go) is the way to go.

    Hemp would be good to use behind the microfiber. It doesn't have the quick absorbency like mf, so I've never used it alone, but it can hold a lot.

    i third the foofoo hemp.  i need to page glad and tell her how awesome her inserts are.  i have a SUPER heavy wetter, mostly b/c he eats twice a night.  i just got some foofoo hemp insets.  i use one foofoo hemp insert in my BGs with both the regular and newborn MF inserts and it holds him all night (roughly 12 hours).  we have NEVER been able to go all night without him wetting himself...and his clothes, sheet, mattress pad, etc.!  so yeah...go get yourself some foofoohemp!
