The nursery is DONE!

I can't help but keep going in there and just starring. It still feels so surreal to have it pretty much done. Now all that is missing is our DD!

It looks great! I love the wainscotting! Did you paint or did DH? I ask because I wanted to with the Low VOC paint but hubby said no...now I want to go over it because it is streaky:-(

THe only input I have is that the commentary is a little misleading. You say you only spent 125 on furniture for the room, but obviously, if the mirror cost $125, it was more than that. Plus, I assume the crib/changing table were given to you then? Because those would have been more than that as well. It just seems a little misleading - like "You too can do this room for $125!"

Haha.. DH started painting all on his own. (he painted basically all the trim.) But, he took forever getting to the blue so I ended up painting that myself.

Home Depot didn't have the shade of blue I wanted in the low VOC paint so we just got regular paint. I just opened the windows as far as they could go and kept a fan going. It was fine!

Yeah.. we spent $125 on the crib and changing table, which we bought used from a family friend. With the accessories, fabric, trim, everything, we spent about $1,000 on the room. I'll edit the description. Thanks!

You guys did a great job - its beautiful! I love that you didn't do pink - it irritates me when pink is all people can think of when it comes to a little girls room. It's really chic and elegant!
