DC's ears folding over under hats??

We almost always keep a hat on dd, and all of her hats hit her at that annoying place where they aren't quite long enough to completely cover her ears, so they continually ride up and her ears end up folded over.  I don't want her to end up with ears that stick out (like mine, lol!) because of this.  I really didn't think that was possible until my mom said "Be careful about her hats folding her ears over, or they'll end up sticking out."  Is this even true?  Does this happen to anyone else's dc?  Any recs for better hats?

    I don't know if it's true. But I'm obsessive about how he's laying on his ears. Like if I'm cradling him and his ear is bent. I constantly check and move it.
