Who doesn't use a wipe when changing a wet diaper?

Do you always use wipes when changing your LO?

Maybe this is silly thinking -- but if he's wet I don't want urine air drying on him. I always use a wipe to prevent a rash.

If there is pee dripping because she just went, then wipe it off. But there is so much alcohol in those wipes I like to give her a break. I also use a warm washcloth on her instead of wipes as well.

I don't. So wasteful! And no rashes yet. I always thought I might it I had a girl though, I don't know.

the pedi told me it wasn't necessary, and not that great for their skin, to use wipes every time. i am not sure if this is because he is a boy? i would probably feel differently with a girl.

i just make sure that once a day we clean him very well down there, and otherwise just use wipes for poo. i use cloth wipes with a wipe solution too instead of the diposables because most disposable wipes have alcohol in them.

I don't! The hospital told us not to bother- just use wipes for poopy diapers. No rash problems, and he gets a bath every night!

I use a wipe every time, I would want wiped off if I sat in a pee soaked diaper. Although, I use cloth wipes, not disposable.

I do. ?I didn't if she was dry when I changed her but then I started thinking, I wipe every time I pee and I don't sit in it before I get cleaned up.

If there is just pee I don't use a wipe. ?I don't want to waste a wipe and (knock on wood) she hasn't had diaper rash yet.

When DS was in the NICU I was told not to use wipes for diapers that only had pee (as long as I was using a really absorbent brand like pampers), because the alcohol in the wipes dry out the skin and make diaper rash more likely. If I feel that he needs a wipedown I use a washcloth. No diaper rash so far!
