What was your favorite baby shower gift?

I usually make diaper cakes for expectant mothers for their baby showers, however my other sister has decided to make one for my sister who is also expecting.  So now I am looking for another creative or unique gift to give.

 Any suggestions??

    My neighbor gave me a blue basket filled with things that she knew I would need.  (Bassinett sheet, crib sheet, finger tooth brush, baby wash, travel wipes dispenser, rattle, burp cloths).  I know it's not "unique" but I LOVED it.  I thought it was so thoughtful and i decided after this gift that I'm never buying a gift for a shower.  I'm going to be doing these baskets from now on.

    My sister got me nursing pajamas with a light robe and slippers.

    My sister got me two blankets that I really wanted. My other siste in law always gets people silver rattles. They are cute. If you know something she really wants, go with that.

    I think something for the mom is nice. Belly Butter, A belly band, electric shaver, a wedge belly pillow, a parenting book (What to Expect When your Expecting).  Especially if she's a first time mom.  You get alot of things for the baby, sometimes its nice for the mom to get something too!

    My shower is tomorrow so I don't know which is my favorite yet, but here are things I would love:

    1) pedicure giftcard

    2) giftcard for a restaurant that delivers post baby

    3) giftcard for a cleaning service to come in for 1 day post baby

    I like to give a gift basket with a lot of very practical items and a couple of nice personalized items like a monogrammed bib/burp cloth set.

    I had one friend put together a scrapbook for me. She created EVERY page from birth-his first birthday. She even included additional pages for his first halloween, first x-mas, etc.  All I have to do is add the pics! It must have taken her hours to put together but it was by far, my favorite gift!!! I have a feeling that I won't have much time to scrapbook once our beautiful baby boy arrives so this was such a perfect gift for us to remember his first year by! :o)
