Brief update/birth story!

Just wanted to say hello quick and let you know that I'll be posting my birth story soon - it's been quite a week for me/DH/DS.

In short - I was induced on 2/10 at 4:00pm due to mild pre-e (totally unexpected!!) and put on pit. Contrax were "coupling" pretty bad from 8pm on. Baby was sunny-side up so the back labor was horrible and I had to keep moving to get him to turn - which he finally did! 

I progressed pretty fast from 3cm to 9.5cm. I had my first shot of Staydol (sp?) at 10pm and my second at 11pm. Nothing more after that. For those that know me - I really wanted to go med-free, so I'm a little disappointed in myself - but proud of myself that I stuck to my no-epi stance. (not that it's bad - it just wasn't something I wanted for me). Started pushing at 2:30am on 2/11 and Alexander Ethan arrived at 3:35am. He weighed in at 6lb 12oz and 19 3/4" long. He is just perfect! I never knew you could love someone so instantaneously without ever meeting them before. 

I will have to catch up with everyone's birth stories - and for those of you still pregnant - I can not wait for all of you to meet your little ones! Meeting them brings a whole new meaning to life and love.

Things are going okay for us except Alexander is very jaundiced from not getting enough breast  milk (my milk is not in yet). I posted on 0-6 and BF in hopes to get some help with this issue as I'm taking it pretty hard since I really wanted to strictly breastfeed.
