I would call your Dr just to be on the safe side, I don't think any leaking is normal, but I am not sure. I get the wet spot too sometimes too so it may be nothing but I would still call. Good Luck!
In my experience ... if it's thick or creamy, it's snail trail. If it's watery, it *could* be amniotic fluid, but it might not be.
If you stand up and move around and feel trickling, leaking, gushing, etc. ... it might be your water.
change your panties, lie down, and wait 30 minutes or so. If you get up and experience another gush or if you continue to soak through your panties, call the doc ASAP. (or just go to L&D; they can do a check to see if it's amniotic fluid)
leaking amniotic fluid at 25 wks is not good. i actually just came back from getting checked since for the past 2 days ive had some watery leakage. they doctor said it sure looks like amniotic fluid, but she did the tests on it and both were negative. SO, it is possible for the snail trail to turn into the snail river. GL
Leaking is very normal. Your mucus increases, and it's not unusual to leak pee, even after going. I have to wear up to three pantyliners a day. If you're really worried, you can always call.
a softball is pretty big! I have a lot of discharge all day and its gross and annoying but ive never had that big of a spot. check with dr just in case but im sure its ok
have you had sex in the last few days? that could also be a reason youre having increased fluid. i never got a lot of CM until recently, but once around 30 weeks DH and i did the dirty and the next morning i woke up with a some fluid...went to the doctor and he said it was just remnants.
I must say though, when I read "softball-sized" my first thought was, "Goodness, how big are her panties?!?!" Lol....I'm sure you are fine but if it continues, then go to L+D.

I did an inspection, def. not snail trail.
Thanks girls. I'll do what you suggest Jenerally.

I second Jenerally's advice.
