Bumbo Seats...should I get one???

I am considering buying a bumbo seat for DS.  Does anyone have one?  Do you love it, hate it, or indifferent?  I think it might help DS with sitting up, but I am not sure.  I am worried he might get bored in it or it might be more of a crutch than an aid.  TIA!

Re: Bumbo Seats...should I get one???

  • My DD loves hers but a lot of babies don't like it so I would get a used one off craigslist just in case.

  • I love it! I recommend getting the tray that goes with it! We send it to grandma's as a high chair. Its light and easy to carry with you and a place for him to sit! I put him in it when I'm in the shower with the tray and a toy and he is content!
  • not if your baby has fat legs.
  • We got the Bebe Pod because DD has chunky monkey legs.  The Bebe Pod has bigger leg holes.  I do recommend like pp said to get the one with a tray.  I just started solids a week or so ago and I use it to feed her at this point.  I can put the Bebe Pod on the table with her in it...feeding her is very easy.  I wasn't going to get one but I am glad I did.

  • DS likes ours somedays and somedays he doesn't. He's got chubby legs though so I don't think it's that comfortable. Do get the tray that goes with it if you get one though - he only likes it when he can play with the toys I put on the tray...
  • My DD loves her, she will sit in it and watch Baby Einstein.  It was a hand me down, I don't think I would pay $40 for it though.  Like PP said, I would check out Craig's List.

  • Get one used.

I registered for, and got one, but wouldn't pay full price I don't think.

I saw how my cousin used them last summer when we were on vacation together.  She actually rented them for the week she found them so indispensable.  I was convinced then that it was a good thing to have.

  • I was wondering the same thing. Now I'm looking at the  bebepod.
