Where are all the girl scouts?

Since I moved to Cincinnati from NKY in 2000, I have never had a girl scout come to my door and sell me cookies.  I have always had to ask DH to order some from someone at work selling them for their daughter, or wait until the cookies are in and the troupes are selling them at Kroger.  We don't live in a bad neighborhood, and I know there are kids that live around here.

Maybe this is a blessing in disguise.  If we had girl scouts selling cookies, we would probably have all kinds of kids selling fundraiser stuff all year long.  Anyone else not see any girl scouts?

    You should see them at Kroger soon. The sale is over, my cookies arrive on tuesday. We never had anyone come door to door either, bought them from a coworkers daughter.

    I bought mine from one of my students at school.  I haven't had any girls knock on my door, and I have had other kids knock on my door for other fundraisers.  A football one is the one that comes to my mind right now.

    Good question! They never come around my neighborhood either. It's usually the parents who are selling them for their daughter's at work. I remember when I was a girl scott and I had to go door to door.?

    I guess times have changed no matter where you live. I remember walking BY MYSELF down my street to get cookie orders. I don't think you would see that today. We ordered some from DH's cousin's daughter and I ordered some from a co-worker. You could try calling a local school or church and asking if they have a troop selling them too.

    Thanks ladies!  I really shouldn't be eating cookies.  I was just curious what happened to all the girl scouts.  If we want some cookies, we will probably just buy some when they come to Kroger.   Mmmmm.  I love the Caramel Delights, aka Somoas.

    Thankfully, they skipped our house too.  Now if only I can resist the cute little girls with cookies when I leave Kroger.  Must-be-strong!

    I don't believe they are allowed to go door to door anymore. It is the end of an era! I sold them for 10 years! Now they can just do it at krogers and through family and friends.
