I've noticed that even though he is only 5 months old, Jonathan loves Dora and Diego and doesn't seem to care for the Baby Einstein videos which sucks because I got the whole 12 Disc DVD set LOL.
LOL...Mikey never got into the Baby Einstein either!!! He loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and HandyManny!!! I love watching his face light up when Mickey Mouse comes on the screen!!!!!
Charlotte loves ANYTHING playhouse disney. She also like Dora, who thus far has taught her spanish nursery rhymes, and how to count in spanish, as well as names of family members, like abuelo, etc. so I love to let her watch Dora because she has learned more spanish from her than she has learned from any of us =/
I also wanted to share though, that Charlie was the same way, she loved baby eintein, when she was REALLY little and it would help to calm some crying fits, i guess with th emusic and colors. However, she lost interest around five months or so. Then after she turned one, she started to really LOVE it, so don't get rid of your dvd set just yet, and maybe once a month play it to see if he likes it again. When I noticed that she liked it, I would interact with her while she was watching, naming the object that passed by on the screen and such, which now looking back, is how I think she was supposed to have been watching it all along lol
Alexis loves PBS Kids Sprout channel - the shows there are all great and short. 15 - 20 minutes. There's Bob the builder, Berenstain Bears, DragonTales, etc. At 6pm they have the goodnight show which is great - we always watch that.
Other than that she likes Yo Gabba Gabba and the Backyardigans.
Mikey loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He gets a HUGE smile on his face as soon as Mickey pops on the screen. His latest favorite is Blues Clues. I even caught him giggling at the screen because Blue and his brother were playing with frogs and it apparently was funny. He also likes Dora, and I think he's starting to like Diego. He also watches some Sesame Street (I tivo it and we watch it when there is nothing better on).
You know, I cannot remember any mommy I know saying that their kid loved baby einstein to the point of obsession the way kids like other shows. Kinda sucks, too, since they are not free on TV!
Sophia loves Dora and The Wiggles. Those are her two current favorites. She will also watch Handy Manny, Elmo's World, and sometimes The Backyardigans.
Warning
No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
Riley loves baby genuis and baby einstein! That is like baby crack for her-it's a little scary tp be honest. She just stops in her tracks, sits and starts "singing" and clapping along with the dvd. She also loves Yo Gabba Gabba, Backyardigans, Dora, Sesame Street, and anything Disney!
Zoe's not a huge fan of Baby Einstein either. She LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on Disney, that;s her fave. Other Disney shows she enjoys: Handy Manny, Little Einsteins, and Noggin shows: Miss Spider, Oswald, Yo Gabba Gabba, Jacks Big Music Show
at Jonathan's age Angelina only watched mommy and me DVD. she loved it!! basically that's the only thing we would have her watch once a day as our mommy and me group time lol since I didn't go to a mommy and me group. We don't really put TV on for her ever. she used to go to bed watching elmo's world every night between the age of 1 and 2 but now she may watch tv for like 30 min twice a week if that. when she does watch it's mickeymouse club house, tigger and pooh, seasame street, handy manny, I think that's everything lol limiting what she watches also helps with her asking for toys at the store since she knows nothing about the characters lol wow this turned into a book. and no she didn't like the Einstein videos either lol I personally think any of us could have made those videos alot better quality.
Hold onto the baby Einstein DVD's, he might become interested in them down the road.
When Nicholas was an infant he was OBSESSED with Moose on Noggin. If he heard his voice from anywhere in the house, he would start twisting and turning his whole body trying to see him.
Now he is on a Wow Wow Wubzy kick. He walks around saying Wow Wow ALL day long. Yo Gabba Gabba comes in as a close second, followed by Sid The Science Kid.
Zachary loves the Baby Einstein and Oy Baby DVDs (Oy Baby has Jewish songs & themes).
He also watches a LOT of our shows since we sometimes start watching TV around 7pm when we have dinner and he does not go to bed until 9 or so. So I guess he likes CSI NY & Miami, 30 Rock, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory... LOL so bad... I am going to have to try some of these other shows though. Wonder Pets sounds fun, and I have heard great things about Yo Gabba Gabba nad Backyardigans.
