Is it supposed to hurt? I'm having really painful cramping and it blows. Is this normal? How long does the bleeding go on? Its been over a freaking week of bleeding. I don't think I can take much more.
I was really crampy from mine. My bleeding went on for a while. But that's because I was having trouble passing all the tissue. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I think with both of mine, I bled a lot for a week. They say that if you soak through a pad in an hour, go to the ER. It can be VERY painful. If it gets too bad, call your doc and see if they will give you meds. I just took the max dose of Advil that I could take and that helped a bit. I hope this goes fast and gets easier for you. I know it's tough. If you need to talk, let me know!
of course it hurts! I assume you are letting things pass naturally, it's going to take longer? Your doctor should have gave you something for the pain. My cramps were so bad I was in tears. I opted to have a D&C to help things go faster. The doctor told me I could wait and let it all happen naturally which could take a week or longer and then he might have to do a D&C anyway or I could just do it that day. I just had it done. For mental and physical reasons. I just couldn't bare the thought of slowly miscarrying for a week. I just wanted it to be over with. I'm sorry you are going through this. I know how awful it is. But talk to your doctor.
It can be very painful. I'm so sorry you have to go through this. I took a Vicadin and passed out on the couch last time. When I woke up my cramps were gone, but there was bleeding for about 2 weeks. Feel better!
Yes, mine was horrible painful. I didn't know i was having a m/c for sure so my dr.had me to to the ER, they immediately admited me for a D/C. I remember laying on the guerney (sp?) in the hallway, while they checked me in for surgery...the cramping was so bad, I was seeing stars and really thought i might pass out from the pain. The next day, it was all over. Of course, it would have gone on longer had I not had the d/c immediately. The 'mental' part took longer to get over, your body is full of PG hormones and now they are gone. It takes you awhile to get back to a normal state.
You'll never, ever forget but it does get easier to move on.....i promise it does get easier, eventually. Don't be afraid to wallow in your sorrow, feel sorry for yourself, scream 'it isn't fair'...anything you feel, its OK to let it out.
Mine hurt like HELL. ?I had a couple of mornings where I thought I wanted to die from the pain.
The doctor told me this was completely normal.
fwiw, I started taking a pain pill every 4 hours, plus?Tylenol?every 4 hours rotated. ?(like, pain pill, two hours later?Tylenol, 2 hours later pain pill, 2 hours later?Tylenol...etc etc).?
I was told I missed my miscarriage in the beginning of October 2008. The doctors gave me one round of the abortion pills, a week later I hadn't completely passed all the tissue. I cramped for about 6 hours and the bleeding was mild. I was not in excruciating pain, and didn't have to take any pain killers. The second round of pills, there was no cramping and very little bleeding...again unsuccessful. They finally got me in for a d&c at the end of October and I had no pain whatsoever and spotted for 3 days afterward.
It just depends on how far along in your pregnancy you were, and what your pain tolerance level is. I have an extremely high pain tolerance.
My m/c was misoprostol induced, and was painful. Not unbearable, but very painful (I was not given painkillers). I bled heavily for about week, then lightly for a few days and spotted for a few days.
With the ectopic, there has been very little pain, but I've been spotting since December. I received my treatment to end the pregnancy 3 weeks ago Monday and have been spotting/bleeding ever since.
There isn't necessarily a straight timeline on these things. I'm sorry this is happening and that you are in pain.

GL, sweetie.?
Both were TONS of blood, like buckets I swear. It hurt like none other. The bleeding lasted a week for the first one and two days for the second one.

Good luck, and I'm so sorry for your loss.

My Blog
I'm seeing your post late, but...
I had a d&c and bled for 1 full week, then moderate-heavy spotting for another full week.
I'm sorry.
