My daughter is four months. Sunday I am supposed to be attending a brithday party for my beloved nephew. However, one of the children that will be there has an older brother with the chicken pox. Would you still go?
Um no, I am probably from the last generation that actually got chicken pox and I would not wish that on my worst enemy. I had them everywhere, even in my throat!

No I wouldn't go if that child was there. But, in reality, that child should stay home. Im not sure how chicken pox works as far as if that kid can already have it and be carrying it to pass it on to others without knowing it. Maybe you can call your Dr. to ask, but if I were that other mother, I would keep both my kids home. Sad for the kid who may not have it, but she shouldn't expose others to it.
Thanks! My gut said no, but I feel bad for my nephew. Now I am afraid to even see him for another week or two to be sure he doesn't catch it at the party. From what I have read, symptoms don't show until after you are already contagious. I hate to be a nervous nelly, but I really don't want my baby to get sick! If she were a little older....

Yes, if I were you I'd stay away for a week or two, for this exact reason. Can you imagine how awful it'd be for a 4 month old to get chicken pox? The poor thing would have no clue what was going on!
