Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Need ideas for toddler /kids Vday goodie bags.

A friend is setting  up a Valentines day playdate for the little ones on Sunday.
She said there will be about 6 to 10 kids the most there. There are like 4 of them that are between the ages of 13 months to 2 1/2 yrs old. Then there are like 3 of them that are 4yrs old to 6 and one that i know of age 10. Not sure about the rest.

Anyways she is making goodies bags but asked the moms to bring a snack or something, that we can put into their bags for the kids.

What do you think would be a good inexpensive snack to take that would be a hit from the smallest 13 months old to the 10yr old.

I was thinking to take a box of Mum Mum's ( they are organic rice cake like cookies) and have like 10 in a box and the box is less than 2 dollars , but she buys those for her daughter all the time ( her daughter is 16 months old) and i'm sure she already got a few boxes.

Any ideas? THanks

  • I did goodie bags for my dd daycare.  I put one bear peep, one heart peep, large conversation hearts (easy for them to eat) and one lollipop.

  • For the goodie bags that I made for daycare, I put in a small container of gold fish and some animal crackers.  I did fruit snacks for the older kids too.
  • We did fruit snacks too.  DD loves them and they were pretty inexpensive for a box of 20 with V-Day wrapping.  Now why don't they normally make a box that size for regular fruit snacks.  Grrr.

  • For DS's daycare class, I melted crayons into a heart shaped pan, and every child got their own heart-shaped crayon (oven at around 200 degrees, used my muffin pan, let it go until melted). From what I could tell, it was a hit.
