A friend of mine was admitted to the hospital and will (hopefully) be there at least a month before her baby needs to be born. Some of my friends and I would like to take her a gift basket of stuff to keep her occupied. We're thinking magazines and nice toiletries, but we'd like to include more than that. Ideas please!

Comfy PJ's are a must.
My favorite thing were slipper socks that looked like mary- janes. They were comfortable enough to wear in bed, but looked like shoes when you had to get up to use the restroom or be wheeled down for an ultrasound. I got so many compliments on them
Internet, magazines, food since hospital food sucks.
Also, just recieving cards/flowers from people really brightened my day. I loved when I got a card from someone just telling me that they were thinking about me.
Pillows and blankets are a positive too. I brought in my own pillows and a comfy warm blanket since the hospital's were starchy.
Tolietries are a must as well. Also a table mirror so she can at least put on some make-up to feel pretty. I did my make-up everyday. It really made me feel like a person.
HTH!
