I don't want my membranes stripped...

at least not yet. Maybe next week if I'm still pregnant...anyone else choosing to wait on having this done (if at all)??

    I didnt want to be stripped until next week either. However when I went to get checked and found out I was 3 cm and 90% effaced he said he "accidentally" stripped mine a little. Honestly it didnt hurt but it has caused me to loose my mucus plug.

    you can always decline to have a procedure done. no one's feelings will be hurt.

    Yeah, I had it done when pg with DS . He was due in a few days from when the doc did it, it was not a big deal, I didn't know it was happening until afterwards when she said she did it. Needless to say, it didn't really work...DS still came 4 days late

    I'm going to wait until I'm overdue.  My MW said she would do it next week if I wanted, but I would just rather avoid anything uneccesary.

    I was going to ask for this to be done at my next appt, just so to try and avoid the cervadil/pitocin induction I may be facing if I go more than a week late.

    The mw offered to do it today (before she checked me) and I was a littlle nervous b/c she said, "you need to be ok with this starting labor today or me breaking your water." Then i got a little nervous. Then I got mad because she tried and couldn't because I wasn't effaced/dialated at all. She says she'll try again next week.

    I had it done on Wednesday and other than it being uncomfortable, it wasn't really a big deal.  I am hoping that it has worked its magic and this weekend is it for me!
