mine seems to have gotten into a routine of sleeping for 2-3 hours and feeding for 2 hours straight. does this happen with anyone else? should she be sleeping more or less? any help is appreciated.
At that point, DD was sleeping 2-3 hours, she'd wake up at about 3 hours on the dot to eat (she has a great internal clock!) and we FF, so she's a quick eater and is always done in about 15mins.

Sam sleeps every 2 1/2-3 hrs at night. We feed, change and burp and go back to sleep. During the day he feeds every 2-3 hours and takes a bunch of cat naps mostly after he feeds.
we've always been on a 2-3 hour schedule like that (just now getting a few longer stretches of sleep sometimes...). we BF, they dont go as long as FF babies so that will make a difference. it made it very tough on me those first few weeks.
but she feeds for THAT long?? are you sure she is eating and not just sucking for comfort? my DD would stay on the breast all day if i let her, so after she stops swallowing (and as long as it's been at least 10 mins on that side), I take her off. sometimes she'll fuss and make the sucking motions with her mouth but once i burp her she forgets all about it and we move on. heheh!
Weostly BF but we do supplement a little with formula. During the day he's usually up to eat every 2-3 hours. I will wake him at 3 hours if he's not up. At night he's gone as long as 3-5 hours. (This is when he gets the most fornula though.) He likes to hang out at my boob but not really eat sometimes too. I have no solution for that though. He does sleep the best when he's swaddled.
I EBF and during the day his schedule is wacky. I feed on demand, which usually ends up being every 1.5 hours. Sometimes (like right now) he stays awake between feedings and sometimes he sleeps. At night, however, he generally sleeps 3 hours at a time.
my baby sleeps for 3 hour stretches at night, usually. i still wake him up for feeds after 3-4 hours. the longest he has slept is 4 hours, which was great! he nurses for 10-60 minutes depending on his hunger level, how focused he is, and how many times he passes out and has to be woken up. he will also comfort suck forever if i let him, so i usually take him off when he goes for a minute or so without really trying to eat. lately we have used a paci for those times and it has helped him go to sleep, because he will suck for a minute and then fall asleep and spit it out. no nipple confusion here!
sometimes my baby sleeps for 2 or 2 and a half hours at a time, otherwise, only for half an hour or so in between nursing! ?so i think 3 hours is great for you. ?the feeding for 2 hours does seem long--mine will only feed for 15 or 20 minutes and then basically fall asleep.?
