DH and I are just staying in for Valentine's Day, and I was thinking of just cooking an extra special meal. Any good recipes or ideas of what I can make?
Sorry, no ideas for you. We're ordering a heart shaped pizza from a local pizza place! We went to one in college (because he didn't make reservations anywhere in town and the wait was 2 hours everywhere) and we ended up with a heart shaped pizza, and we loved it! So we're doing it on purpose this year!

we had reservations for this fancy italian place in south philly...however, i said bc i'm taking an unpaid week of leave and we're trying to save...that we could just cook here (together)
so today i am making red velvet cupcakes and then i'm doing filet mignon and lobster tails (from the italian market) OR i am doing lobster and cab ravioli (made fresh) with sauce that i will chop up some lobster and put in it w a fresh baked bread.
i am also doing some chocolate covered strawberries!!

Filet Mignon (seasoned with salt and butter)
I just have to figure out what side dish to make...
This is a great recipe we're doing tomorrow, minus the ragout. Make some remoulade sauce and use real bread crumbs and it's superb:
