    That is very cool and such an honorable thing to do.  It is sad to think that there will be people who view that as wrong or gross, but I know there will be some who do.

    the message she is sending is awesome - I'm a proud daughter of two hippies - my own mom had a friend who did this for people - she used a specific word [I can't remember it now] but it's not uncommon to do.  I hope [crossing fingers] that I have plenty of milk for my baby... what are mothers to do in 3rd world countries that don't have a milk bank to get food for their babies?  so sad.  I hope more people help.

    that all being said... I'm not sure i would pick up a kid on the street and bf him/her.  call me selfish.

    that is great. I was so dissapointed not to be able to breastfeed, I had the info to donate to babies in need and didn't fathom not being able to do it at all. she's setting a great example

    i wish more stars would be open about BFing in general. there are still so many who think it's actually unnatural. not that i think we should turn to hollywood for our morals or anything, but a lot of people do look to stars as an example and i wish we were a BFing friendly enough society that more people could be open about it...

    I saw that this morning and was so excited to see it.  I am glad someone finally put a positive spin on breastfeeding.  There are so many stigmas about it and what it all comes down to is nutrition and giving to your child or in this case to another child.
