Mine is a very heavy sleeper, but I have no problem waking him up if I have to. The dogs have been giving me practice. I will wake DH up so I don't have to be the one always to let them out in the middle of night. He's gotten a lot better!

Nope, he is a light sleeper. I am a heavy sleeper though. I feel bad, because he has to wake up really early for work and he always wakes up couple times a night due to the cats meowing or some other sound. I may need to invest in some good earplugs once the baby gets here, since I will be staying home and in charge of night time duty.
He's developed a talent for sleeping soundly since being married to me (I have always had very vivid dreams and move/ talk/ sing in my sleep). He gets up earlier than I do, though, so he'll probably end up getting up for the early morning feeding and diaper change.
Re: Is your DH a heavy sleeper?
He's sort of weird.
He wakes up every time I go to the restroom and asks if I'm ok.
But he can sleep through a cat 4 hurricane.
