First this is not a religious come to jesus message, just now that God is good. Well we live in Texas and on Tuesday if you guys remember we had a storm, well my husband and I had decided to stay in town with my grandparents cause I was tired and just not feeling good. Tuesday night around 8:00 p.m. we were watching the news and they come through that are home town was getting hit with the storm and that tornado warning was in effect, 10 minutes later they say anyone in our county take cover a tornado has been reported. We tried and tried to get my mother-in-law and we could not get her, finally 45 minutes later I finally get through to her, she informs us that were we live ( well I should say I live way in the country with nothing but trees, cows and sheep around) the tornado hit. There roof on the down stairs of their house was taken off and get ready for it, the tornado had taken everything but our home. Just to give you a picture you know at the end of Twister the movie where the big F5 hits and the family gets out and the only thing left standing is there home. Well that is what our home looked like. Everything was gone, blow away, destroyed but MY HOME. No damage not broken window, nothing know if that is God watching over us I don't know what is. My in-laws where not hurt, we lost a couple of livestock but I still have a home. I may keep saying it a lot but I am still emotional about just thinking about it, I could have lost everything that I ever had. My husband and I just sat there and cried together to think of how lucky we were and how good God was to us, he could have taken that and left my husband with not parents.
Sorry so long but I know has a person and a Christian I take for granted how good God is and sometimes I think he just needs to remind us. Just don't take anything for granted and always remember things could be much worse. ![]()
