Confused on weight percentiles
So, we had DD's 4 mo checkup yesterday.
She's measuring 75th percentile for length, but is "off the charts" for weight - on the high side.
If anything I expected it to be reversed.
We knew she was long, but she's also really thin, at least she looks thin to us, and she always outgrows her clothes in length, while the waistband is still loose.
I mean, she can still wear size 1 diapers even.
The pedi said he expected her weight to come back down into normal range after we start her on cereal, because it's more filling with fewer calories.
He's not worried. I'm not either, I'm just surprised. It was the total opposite of what we expected to hear.
On the plus side - she appears to be on target or ahead of schedule for all of her developmental milestones! Some of them he said they don't expect to see until around 6 mo!
