Are you kidding me? Vent.

Not sure why, but I decided to take another look at my BM dress for your wedding online today, and imagine my surprise when I searched ?M? for maternity on the Alfred Angelo site, and MY DRESS DIDN?T COME UP.

Turns out the dress they sold me ISN?T A MATERNITY DRESS. They only offer one, and it?s the OTHER one they showed me in-store.

So, needless to say, I called the store to voice my concern. Manager on duty Christie confirmed that it?s not really a maternity dress, but it?s a dress they know has worked well for pregnant women before. It?s "kind of forgiving," and it's "just" missing the darts they put in the maternity dress to make it fit over an expanded belly. I informed her, as I had told the chick who helped me, that I?ll be EIGHT MONTHS PREGNANT at your wedding, about as BIG AS I CAN BE and that I have a feeling I MAY NEED THOSE MATERNITY DARTS!

Christie was very nice and told me she made a note in my file that their seamstress will put darts in the dress for me for free, if I need them. I?m thankful for her professionalism and I will remain quite positive unless I find reason to feel otherwise down the road. Ohmifreakingosh.

  • I am getting married next month, They dont have much Maternity dresses, they are just Women sizes... That is what i had to do...

Its beautiful... you dont have a lot of choices ( well i didnt for being a bride) but they have some cute ones.

  • That is really annoying!  That said, I'm in a wedding when I'm 35 weeks pregnant.  I ordered a size 14 dress, I'm usually a 4, and I am hoping there is SOME way they can make it work.  They even ordered extra fabric in case they have to put in panels.  It's going to cost an arm and a leg when all is said and done.
  • I can completely relate...I will be 7.5 months pregnant for one of my friend's weddings. We had to go an order a new dress (after I had already paid $160 for the original) and now had to fork out another $200 for this one...thank god her designer was Landa Designs and they had several maternity BM dresses.
