I know this has been posted before but I never really paid attention since it didn't apply to me. My sister-in-law is now looking to find an in-home childcare option for her boys and she is wondering where to start. She has already checked Craigslist. Any other ideas? Or if anyone has any recommendations in the Greenhills/Forest Park/Wyoming/Finneytown areas.
TIA!
Re: How to find in-home childcare?
Yeah, definitely have her call 4-C for recommendations. I did the search on their website and only got a few providers, but when I called the person there was super nice and e-mailed me a list of about 20. That said - I called a few of them who were full, no longer doing care, and a couple I was NOT impressed with over the phone. So a heads up for her to not take a 4C referral (or even the fact that they're licensed) as a glowing endorsement. I also found providers on the cincinnati.com classifieds and on the cincy moms like me website forums - they have whole forums just dedicated to childcare so definitely have her check there. We actually decided to go with a center this time but the most promising providers I found were actually from there.
GL to her!
