charting in med cycles?

do you find there's any point to charting when you're on a medicated cycle?  i'm on clomid/follistim/trigger/prometrium.  i just don't know that i see the point when i will trigger, etc.

do you guys continue to chart?

Re: charting in med cycles?

  • i charted with medicated cycles, just because i was anal about it.  my re told me that as long as i was triggering, i didn't have to.  you'll still show a temp shift, but the prometrium will probably keep your temps elevated until it's stopped.

  • Honestly, I didn't do it last time and I didn't have nearly enough material to obsess over. At least when you're temping, there's something to analyze to the point of obsurdity every morning. So I'll be temping the next cycle, I think.
  • I thought I would, but my chart is a hot mess this month between the early morning monitoring appointments and the meds. I've heard the Follistim can cause high temps, which seemed to be the case for me. I decided to stop temping until next week, right before AF shows, since I'm not on any kind of progesterone to falsely raise my temps post-O.

I have to say, not charting has me totally stressed. I hate not being able to confirm O with a temp shift. I won't feel confident that we gave this cycle our best shot until I go for my P4 check and u/s tomorrow.

  • You can if you want to, but the trigger pretty much guarantees O, so I don't temp. I do record my meds though.
  • I chart, but don't bother temping or checking CM. It is nice. You could just temp after o just to watch what happens.....you won't have a coveline, but you may see implantation dip or know when testing would be a waste of money....Good Luck!
