I've been back to work for about 6 weeks now, but DH definitely did not think that I was eating bon bons all day. He stayed home for 2 weeks after ds was born and for a while he only worked 4 days a week so he was home during the day quite a bit. He knows how much work a newborn is and that my entire day was consumed with taking care of him. Even to this day, he understands how hard I work (at home and at my job). He still encourages me to nap if DS is asleep.
nope. ?he sees that i'm able to iron shirts, get cleaning done, do the grocery shopping, etc.... most of which i used to do on the weekends. ?so now that he no longer has to do any of that, he knows i'm not eating bon bons all day. ?
Nope. I think he enjoys coming home and seeing that the house is clean and not having to worry about it. He also knows how busy I am with Jude because I am nursing and noone can really help with that. I feel like I am more productive now than before when I was home for two weeks before the baby came. All I wanted to do was lay around.
I'm not sure my DH feels that way, but sometimes I think he does. I am not like the posts above. I don't know where you guys are finding the energy to iron shirts, clean the house and grocery shop--God bless you for it. I feel like the only thing I'm able to do all day is feed DD, do the dishes from the night before and try to keep up with the constant laundry.
Sometimes.......I will catch him saying things like "well I still have to work all day and I'm tired" but then I remind him of all I do around here and he always says that he knows I am busy too, just in a different way. I think he is a bit jealous though, that I stay home all day and he has to go to work (even though I am just as busy, if not more so!!)
According to DH, I do nothing all day. I really want to smack him! When he gets home from work, he expects me to take care of both kids, he barely lifts a finger. Boy is he in for a rude awakening once I go back to work!!
Heck no, and I think it's because he has been left alone with both girls for 2 days while I was in the hospital to have my gallbladder out last week.
He knows that I work harder at home than he does at work -- he stayed home for 10 days after #2 was born and he said he couldn't wait to go back to work to get a break!!!
No. I nurse my DD and he knows how much time that consumes out of my day. I pick up around the house when I can and I take my dd for walks outside, etc. We split the chores in the house for the most part so neither one of us is really overwhelmed, but I definitely care for the LO more since I'm the only one who can feed her. =P

Sorry your DH is acting like that.
