Hi there! I have a question about my daughter who's 28 months now.
She goes to sleep at 8. She gets her teeth brushed, I read her a book, tuck her in, the whole nine. She used to sleep at LEAST until 7...sometimes even until 7:30, and she still does this, but not as often as she used to.
Now, she's waking up at 5:30 or 6-6:30 and even though I am usually gone by then, DH is complaining. The Nanny comes at 7 and my husband starts getting ready at 6:30 and my daughter keeps waking him up. She refuses to go back down, too. She just wants to get out.
Anyone go/going through this? Thoughts?
THANKS!
Julia
Re: Waking up too early?
Does she have stuff to do in her room to keep her entertained?
Have you tried putting a small light on a timer in her room and say that she's not allowed to leave her room until it's on?
Or how about setting up a little table in her room with non-perishable foods - dry Cheerios, etc. - and some water so she can have a snack in the morning?
She is still in a crib, but she has some stuffed animals in there and a book I read to her before bed.
I might do some snacks or water, that's a good idea, thank you!
I also like the idea of a previous poster...about a light that's on a timer!
