Re: chewing on hands...

  • my baby has been chewing on her hands since a couple weeks old-- she is just now past 4 months and starting to really drool and chew on certain fingers and I think it's actually the teething thing-- although, my mother told me that my sister got her first 2 teeth at 2 months!

  • yikes!! his sleep has alsogot more erratic again, naps like crazy and wont go to bed until midnight :(
  • From what I understand, babies are teething for a long time before a tooth actually shows up. All kinds of stuff is happening under the surface. DS has been chewing on his hands, my hands, razberry...anything for about a months now. It hurts my hand!
  • My DD does the same thing! We asked the Dr. about this today and she said that she's just at the age where she wants everything (can only get her hands now) in her mouth! BUT, my DH had his first tooth at 2 months too...no teeth yet so my theory is that I was a thumb sucker so she is just trying to find her thumb or fingers...possiblity

  • yeah, ds has just started chewing on his fists. i think it might b teething.... i see the whites of where the teeth are going to cut through.... he's been fussy latley and i wondered if it might be that he's teething.

  • DD does this too. I really don't think she is teething yet... but crap, maybe I'm wrong! =/
