slight fever, a little cough, runny nose...

Do you call the pedi, or wait and see if it gets worse?  He's not exhibiting any other symptoms.  He's playing, sleeping, and fussing like he normally would.

His normal rectal temp is 99.3.  It was 100.1 earlier tonight @ 5:30.  DH had given him about half a dose of tylenol (.6) at 11:30 this morning, so I'm pretty sure it was worn off of close to worn off at that point.

WDYT?

  • I would call, but our pedi has a nurse triage line that you can talk to and they'll kind of "screen" you and tell you if your DC should be seen or if you should wait a little bit. I love that feature and have called them sooo many times. Does your pedi have something like that?

  • I'm taking Ava in tomorrow morning for the same symptoms.  I spoke with her pedi directly and she wants to see her.  She's had these symptoms since the weekend and I didn't think twice about them until all of the bronchiolitis posts today, and then I called.  After I made the appt. she woke up from her nap and was coughing so hard it made her puke.  She's been a little wheezy too.
