Does the belly measurement correspond to how far along you are?

Or how far along you are "measuring"? Today at my apt my dr said that I was measuring at 28.5 cm from pubic bone to top of uterus. Does that number mean anything other than how big my uterus is measuring? Sorry for the dumb/lame question.

My midwife said it cooresponds to the number of weeks you are. She said plus or minus 2cm is "normal."

My doc told me a "normal" measurements is anywhere between 2 cm behind or 2 cm ahead of how many weeks you are.

Yes, it is supposed to correlate with how far along you are. My dr. said your uterus should measure between1-3 cm of your weeks.

You should be about +/- 1 cm as many weeks you are but these measurements are just a guideline and not very precise on everyone.

It is supposed to, but it doesn't always, depending on how you are carrying and the position of the baby.

I read that the CM that they measure your belly in- should corrospond (sp) to the "weeks" that you are pregnant.... Ex- I am 27 weeks, so my belly should measure 27 cm
