Explain this one to me- RTF?

DS uses RTF.  It's thicker than powder and helps with his reflux.  I just switched to the 32 oz cans vs 8 oz cans.  Why does it say it's good covered in the can in the refrigerator for 48 hours or poured into bottles and refrigerated for 24 hours.  Why is it ok for 48 hours in the can but only 24 in bottles? If it's refrigerated, why does it matter?

    I don't know. Mine doesn't say that but I have Alimentum. However we pour 4 bottles at a time and leave them in the fridge ready to go. We don't go over the 24 hours. We go through a RTF bottle a day anyway. It's so expensive though, it kills me. Here's one for you, if Similac and others are so willing to send you $5 off coupons then obviously it doesn't take $10 to make a bottle of Alimentum, why can't they just charge $5 in the first place and skip the coupons. It annoys me.

    This is all we could come up with too.  However, what does the light have to do with anything?
