  I am a fellow texan who LOVE LOVE LOVES frito pie.  Mmmmmm.  My DH did not know if its yumminess until he married me.

  When I moved to Chicago, I mentioned it and my roommates looked at me like I had two heads as they had never heard of such a thing.  I about dropped dead, I didn't know it was a regional thing.

  ditto the sharp cheddar and real fritos, but I like it with homemade chili, not Wolf brand.  And when I say homemade I really mean the seasoning packet stuff.

  I am pretty sure it is a Texas thing.  I haven't known of anyone outside the state that has had it.

  i'd never heard of this but i make something similar for football games but i use regular nachos...
