Update on me: Dr wants the baby out. :(

We have scheduled the c section for Tuesday.

Ultrasound went fine but the BP is still high etc etc. In the meantime, more bedrest (bedrest till the end). He wants to try to squeeze out that this last week but closely monitored (taking BP at home and going in and bedrest). She measured about 6 lbs 10 oz which I thought was pretty good and in the 55th percentile which they said was good but to be honest I have no clue what that means. She has a head full of hair and still has big feet Embarassed Oh well, models have big feet right? AND she is still a girl LOL. There is NO DOUBT this child is a girl.

We told him we wanted whatever is best for Abby, but we were both glad we get another week to get over this bug we have. The Dr. said bc of my BP there is really nothing I can take for it so just lots of liquids for me!.

The silver lining in all of this was DH was only going to be able to take a week off, now he will be able to take almost two full weeks off. So that is really awesome, I thought. I started shaking while we were working out the details bc it seemed so scary to me but the Dr said the magic words to dh "If this was my wife, I would get the baby out." So at that point it was a done deal. He said there is an 8/9 out of 10 chance that she will go home with me without having to stay any longer. I know that isnt the greatest news but we all know that preclampsia can be a life and death thing for me and abby so if she has to stay an extra day or two to make sure she is ok, I can live with that.
Anyways, that's the latest. Sorry it took so long, we were at the drs forever yesterday!

Well Keep your feet up, and take a deep breath!! Your doc has delivered many babies and I have have faith that he/she wouldn't do something that wasn't neccessary....Just think soon you will see abby.

Oh Jessica...I just want to give you really big hugs. Everything you're feeling makes perfect sense, and I'm nervous/excited for you! But it sounds like they've got a great plan, and you're so close to the end now anyway, she should be just fine. You will be very much in my thoughts, hang in there for your last week of bedrest, and I hope your cold feels better soon (this week should help a lot).

I was only 6 lbs 13 oz at birth and was fine. You will be full term when that little one comes out and they also say that girls have better lung development. I know it sounds super scarey but this is best and focus on the good. You are going to be a mommy next week.
