Shower timing

I've never thrown a baby shower before, so I apologize if this is a dumb question...

I'm wanting to throw a shower for a friend at church, and on the first available date that works for all involved, she'll be 33 weeks along. Is this good timing, or is it too late or too early? (I doubt it's too early, but like I said, I've never thrown one so...)

Mine is planned for when I will be 32 weeks. I think that will be fine.

Mine won't be until I'm 36 weeks and it is making me feel so unprepared so by all means move ahead with your plans.

My mom and sister threw my shower for me at 34 weeks. I wouldn't have minded having it a few weeks later, but I'm happy that it wasn't any later just b/c I've been uncomfortable.

I will be 35 weeks at my shower. I think 33 weeks is a good time. It should give her plenty of time to get things finished.
