birthday party vent

I requested RSVPs for Natalie's party by yesterday. A family that I haven't heard from (and I know they got the invitation) just sent me an evite to their son's party. Hello? Rude.

We can't go to the party because we're going to a wedding that...but maybe I should wait a long time to RSVP. LOL, I am evil.

    Yeah, I know what you mean.  I requested "regrets only" for Esm?'s party and never heard from anyone...until the morning of the party (it started at 2pm).  Three people waited until the last minute to let me know they weren't coming...after all of the food and drinks were bought, of course.

    you know, evites are so informal that if I were you I'd go ahead and respond with a no for all to see and say "Sorry we can't come, but we *have* to go to a wedding that day.  We hope to see you at Natalie's party this Saturday though! OH -- Are you coming???"

    What did you decide to do for N's bday?

    Yeah, I went ahead and RSVPed. I'm such a sucker, haha.

    We are having her party at a big room at our church, just with family and some playgroup friends...nothing extravagant, but it should be fun :)
