So, I was waiting for a prescription to be filled and of course I ended up in the baby section. They had these adorable osh'kosh overalls on clearance and I got a pair - size 6mo so that she can wear them in late fall. I also scored a super cute jacket to match. Well, the cashier oo'd and ah'd over them and asked me how old my daughter was and I said, oh, she hasn't been born yet. Well, she proceeded to totally scold me and tell me that it is unwise to buy clothes that big before she's born because she may be too big to ever wear them. I was like, uh, crazy lady, I'm not going to give birth to a baby bigger than a size 6mo!! The lady behind me ended up butting in to say that she thought they were adorable and would be buying them to. Sheesh!
Re: Cashier at Target scolded me!
I like how going through ONE pregnancy or having one baby makes one think they are an expert on all pregnancy and parenting info.
Or how someone who was pregnant 30 years ago somehow thinks their old-wives tales are still relevant.

If one more person tells me this week that I CAN'T GET MY HAIR DONE...I might flip out!!! I'm getting sick of explaining how I waited until past my 1st trimester and I only get highlights, which don't touch my scalp...
These are women who have kids, as well!
What a dumba$$... 90% of the clothes I've bought for DS have been in 6, 6-9, 12 mo sizes, etc. The reason is because I've gotten some good buys on clearance, and I have a feeling that after my shower, I'll have a decent amount of newborn clothes/layette items.
I agree with PPs... something about pregnancy makes random strangers think they can just butt in whenever they like, with any type of advice that they'd like to give!
Is it bad that I would have told her, I was there for her to ring up my purchase not analyze it?
She needs to mind her own business.
