DH was totally serious when he suggested the name Champ. I apologize in advance if that is anyone's name, or child's name, but....COME ON!!! He said when the teacher is going over the roster of kids in the class, now that is a name that is going to "stand out"..what a jerk!! Isn't Champ a dog's name, or nickname at best??

Re: Speaking of names...Tell some ridiculous suggestions you have heard
My DH wanted Orlando if it was going to be a boy. Um NO.
The name I always wanted to name a son was Alexaundre. A combination of Alexander and Deaundre. I used to be into very unique and made up names. I have moved on to classic and simple names. Another favorite for a girl was Zaybriana.
Yup, I would have been one of those 1st tri girl trying to justify Neveah. I am so glad I grew out of that!
DH is an anthropology and religion major, he loves mythology. so, he was dead serious at the beginning that he wanted either of these:
Odysseus
Ulyses
Prometheus
Dante
Otis
Buy now I am not sure if he was just exhasperating me in order to get away with the first decent name he liked but I am glad the end result was amicably and wonderfully met.
Soon to celebrate the day we met, even if the day before marks when we said goodbye.
Boys: Spike, Kash
Girls: Spice, Princess, Cretia (pronounced Cree-sha)
Sorry if anyone has these names or are considering these names, but they are NMS at all!
My MIL wanted us to name the baby Lucy if it was a girl.... Lucy is our dog's name.
Movie Quote: 'We named the dog Indiana.'
If we had a boy DH wanted to name him after his dad. Unfortunately his dad's name is Eardley. Um, no.
Just as a side note, I always think of Champ as the name of a horse. I have known more than a few horses with that name.
I have an aunt that named her daughter Neveah (heaven spelled backwards)
Sunny for a girl isn't actually that bad.
Bad ones we got ideas for (from DH's grandma: Princess, Rita (our last name starts with R), Contessa, Minnie and for boys: Ramses... can't think of the others she suggested. Most of them were very egyptian sounding. And DH is Czech.
