Baby can see when my mouth is open

I get the daily newsletter from WTEWE and today they talk about the baby's development. According to this newsletter the baby can now move it's eyes from side to side and can see light.

Um. . . isn't it dark in there? Like pitch black? Does my pancreas light up or something. . . or maybe just when I open my mouth. . .

Probably when you're at the beach in your hot maternity bikini it lightens up in there a bit. But who knows, maybe your pancreas does light up?

I always imagine that it's probably like laying out on the beach with your eyes closed when it's really sunny. I read in one of the newsletters that I get that if you were to shine a flashlight at your stomach around now, your baby would probably try to move out of the way. I wanna see if I can get the tech to let me test it out at my next u/s, haha.

They say that if you put a flashlight over your belly it will move away from it..

During my 20w u/s the baby had it's hands over it's face and ears, I always wondered if they could "see the light"

I think it is through your stomach, like if you were to shine a flash light directly onto your bump, the baby would react to the light.

What they mean is that you can "play" with your baby by shining a flashlight at different parts of your belly -- the baby will move to or away from the light!
