Oh Noooo - Jury Duty

I got a letter in the mail yesterday saying that I have to appear in court the first week of March for jury duty BUT I'm 'supposed' to be scheduled for FET (that's if everything goes as planned).  Do you think they will let me off if I tell them I have been going through fertility treatments?  This can't be happening!!  How do I get out of this?

    Don't worry, I got out of mine very easily. Just call them and explain the situation. Ask to be reassigned for another time. They told me it was no problem at all, and I was called again about five months later instead.

    You should be able to request a postponement due to a scheduled medical procedure.  I don't believe you have to go into detail about what kind of procedure it is.

    No need to apologize for your ticker!  Thanks for the info.  Did you call them when you received the letter or did you wait to call them the day they told you to call?

    I had my RE write a letter.  They said they do it all the time, and I was waived for a medical excuse.

    They will let you off for a hang nail around where I live. NC may be a little stricter.
