Strange pressure on lower abdomen

in 2nd Trimester

Over the past couple of days, I've been having a strange pressue feeling over my lower abdomen.  I don't seem to get it so much during the day, but it feels like I'm wearing really tight pants or something; even when I'm not.

Has anyone else had this?

    I've had pelvic pain (usually at night) every other night or so....I don't know what it is but you're not alone...

    I get this when baby is pushing out on my belly. It doesn't hurt me, just feels tight. If I look in the mirror my belly acutally looks bigger while she's doing this and it is really hard to the touch.

    I haven't felt any movement yet though.  Just pressure.  Is that what you guys have felt too?

    I just asked my OB about something like this, mine I would describe as a tightening in my uterus or pressure, she said its normal, unless it happens more than 4 times in an hour.  Your uterus has contractions throughout  your pregnancy but in moderation, its normal.  She also said baby moving can cause the contractions because i told her I mostly feel them at night when he wiggles around the most.

    I'm feeling the same thing on a daily basis, sometimes several times a day. It's a downward pressure accompanied by some stomach pains.  I have an appointment with my OB next week.  I'll be sure to bring it up.

    I know exactly what you mean. I have the worst tighting feeling of my stomach at night time. It feels like the skin couldn't possibly stretch any further.
