2nd Trimester

What do you typically eat for breakfast?

I usually eat 6-7 slices of bacon, a blueberry eggo waffle, and one egg.

Cereal just doesn't cut it in the morning for me.....I'm STARVING!  It's even more pronounced with this pregnancy than my first.  The rest of my meals during the day are pretty tame and not quite so large.

Re: What do you typically eat for breakfast?

  • A grapefruit, and two pieces of PB&J toast.  With water.
  • Loading the player...
  • High fiber cereal (like Grape Nuts, All Bran, Fiber One, etc) with vanilla soy milk (I'm somewhat lactose intolerant and can't have regular milk)

  • small glass of OJ....and today I added a cookie dough poptart..mmm
  • a small whole wheat bagel or english muffin with peanut butter and half a banana........and a OJ or milk.

  • Usually a bowl of Kelloggs cornflakes covered in 2% milk and a small glass of water.

  • Slimfast chocolate shake first, (I'm not dieting) it just settles my stomach for my actual breakfast. Then I eat oatmeal, poptarts, or fruit and yogurt. I'm pretty hungry too in the morning.
  • Normally cereal or toast and coffee. Then about 2 hours later I eat some fruit.
  • I usually eat whole-grain cereal (raisin bran, mini-wheats or cheerios) with soy milk and a fruit & yogurt smoothie.  DH used to encourage me to eat a scrambled egg with breakfast, but since eggs are the one thing that still give me m/s it's been a few months since I've eaten them.

Sometimes, if I'm still hungry after the cereal and smoothie I'll have a slice of toast with peanut butter.

  • My appetite in the morning has slowed down significantly.  Before I had to eat before I even brushed my teeth because the starvation was killing me.  Now, I can have a glass of milk and maybe a yogurt, then drive to work, and have an omelette or some pancakes (sometimes both)
  • A banana and either a whole wheat bagel w/ cream cheese or Cream of Wheat.  Then an apple mid-morning.
  • My whole 1st tri I had vanilla yogurt with fresh fruit and granola. The last couple weeks I crave Honey Nut Cheerios. Usually with water, but sometimes orange juice.
  • Honey Bunches of Oats w/Almonds, milk & a banana or a whole wheat bagel/english muffin/waffle with peanut butter & a banana......but I always bring extra fruit to snack on just in case I am still hungry!

  • On a normal day I eat a waffle or anything that is quick and can go in the car with me. Once I get to work I normally have fruit and yogurt. Today though I had a bowl of Ben and Jerry's I love snow days!
  • bowl of cereal, I never ate breakfast pre-pg so that is a lot for me.
  • Yougurt and a Nutrigrain Bar.

  • I eat the same thing everyday - a big bowl of bran flakes with half a banana and a glass of OJ.
  • A whole wheat english muffin with peanut butter or these whole grain cranberry, blueberry bagels that I got the other day. They are Peppridge Farm and they taste awesome!

  • i'm on a cereal kick right now - on days of virtue, it's the kellogg's protein plus. on days like these...it's cocoa puffs. :)?

  • brown sugar granola with soy milk. i also have some oj.
  • it varies depending on what sounds good to me...usually cereal or a smoothie or waffles...almost always with a glass of OJ or lemonade. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day!

  • I'm usually good with a bowl or 2 of cereal or oatmeal....it's lunch that attacks me...
  • I used to have peanut butter on a piece of toast every day with a glass of milk but that got old. The last 2 weeks or so I've been having a bowl of cereal, pop-tarts or a granola bar with milk.
  • Either oatmeal and some fruit (today was applesauce).

Or if I'm feeling particularly industrious that week, I make a batch of tofu scramble and have it in burritos.

  • Usually a BIG bowl of cereal at home and then I have to eat some sort of protein shortly thereafter when I get to work or I feel like I'm going to pass out. Usually a cheese stick or yogurt.
  • A pop tart.

Although I added some cheeze-its this morning and Fri and Mon I added a popscycle.

  • Yogurt, handfull of almonds and a piece of fruit.
  • I've been eating sausage, egg and cheese hot pockets and fruit with a glass of milk.

Sometimes I just want cereal but I'm starving by 10:30 if that is all I have.

Pancakes sound so good but they make me sick which is really a bummer because I love them. Sad

  • Special K with Red Berries and skim milk.

Then I have some fruit about an hour later.

  • I go back and forth between ham and cheese omlettes or a bowl of cheerios with skim milk with a side of turkey sausage. Regardless, I need a snack around 2-2.5 hrs later. I usually have an piece of fruit or hummus then.

  • around 8 cinnabons. haha
  • A bowl of cereal and milk with cranberry juice on the side.

  • For the past few months, I have been eating nothing but Strawberry Toaster Struedel on weekday mornings. I find that if I eat something sweet first thing in the morning, I won't want anything sweet all day long. Scrambled eggs with cheese are my choice on weekends. But, this morning I had a taste for Frosted Flakes with 1% lactose free milk. YUM!
  • I usually just have a bowl of oatmeal. This morning, however, I hate some chocolate chip cookies with decaf coffee.
