Hi ladies, I've got a question for you.
I've been having AWFUL morning sickness-- and by "morning" I mean 24 hours a day, and by "sickness" I mean living on my bathroom floor. All the books say most women feel better around 12 weeks. Did that seem to be the case for you? I'm curious how many women fall into this "most" catagory. I need some hope here ladies! I miss food!!
TIA
Re: Help a first tri gal out!
I have no hope. I still puke very day and I'm 25 weeks.
And by puke I mean dry-heave and vomit stomach acid until I get a pounding headache and am red in the face. It's always in the mornings and at night.
I'm one of the unlucky ones who will be sick from conception to delivery. I hope you get to feeling better soon.
I felt better as soon as I could drink enough water.I think I was about 8 or 9 wks at that point. I just started basically chugging water and then I felt better.
Are you keeping anything down?
First...you should call your Dr in regards to your m/s, especially if it is so severe that you are unable to keep any food or water down. There is no reason to suffer through it. They may be concerned that you are getting dehydrated and will want you to come in.
Second...mine lasted until I was 17 weeks, so I'm just getting over it. I had severe m/s and had to go on Zofran just to get through some really tough spots.
Please get on some meds...Zofran and Phenergan were my life savers. I started with m/s at about 5.5 wks. It lasted just about everyday till 11-12wks then it was only about 2-3x a wk till 16wks.
Good luck!!!!
i think it was around 12 weeks that i started to feel better.... and about 14 before i started to feel "good"..... as far as morning sickness that is...other crappy feelings come and go...
.
Oh yes, I've been in constant contact with my doctor. I've been on Zofran for a couple of weeks and it helped tremendously until Sunday night, and now it's like I'm not even on anything! They were concerned about dehydration for a while, but I started to get better right when they were ready to send me in. I guess I do need to call again if the medicine doesn't help at all today.
Gestational lactose intolerance...I figured that was just in my head that I couldn't tolerate milk now that I'm pregnant!! I can't even eat cereal anymore with regular milk, had to switch to soy.
