Blood test results are back :(

So, I tested positive on the ANA test. It has something to do with clotting.

Anyway, the doc said that its a test that they use to diagnose either lupus or rheumatoid arthritis. The test doesn't say that I actually have either one of these diseases, but since I tested positive for it, I will have to have yearly blood draws.

I have to schedule an appt with a rheumatologists to have further evaluation done as well.

My doc than said, "Don't get pregnant until you get further testing!"

So, another stepping stone in our journey to have another child.

Hang in there Becky. I know you are doing everything you can to ensure a healthy pregnancy the next time, and this is another bump in the road. I hope the further testing comes back clear and you get the go ahead soon. I agree with Adamsbabble, you are strong and able to overcome!

I'm sorry to hear this. Do they think this is the reason you ended up having to have Katie early? Hopefully it is something smaller that can be resolved and you can move forward. GL at the rheumatologist.

Not sure if it will make you feel better, but they thought my mom had RA so she went to see a rheumatologist and she doesn't.

I am sorry you are having to worry about this, Becky!! I hope that all goes well at your future appt. with the rheumatologist! You are doing everything you can to ensure a full-term pregnancy next time, so I will be thinking of you.

I too, am waiting for my blood work to come back relating to clotting factors... doc wants to see if it can be tied to the HELLP syndrome...
