update on high FSH with IVF#2 ( SAIW)

First of all, thanks for all of your support. ?

So, I got a lot of reassurance today that this is not the end of the road for us. Certainly my FSH is a bit high, but they do not seem that concerned. ?Based on my antral follicle count and past responses, they feel that it will not be a problem. ?He said at some point, you really do need to just think of it as a #. ?He has seen many women with much higher #s get pg.

?

I am going to ?try to trust in this because to be honest, I have been a mess. ?I know that is no way to start a cycle. ?Maybe I will sleep tonight.

  • I am glad you got some reassurance.  It is so hard to put our trust in someone else when it comes to something this important, but sometimes we just have to let go.  I hope that you can come to see IVF number dos in a much more positive light!  ((hugs))

  • Good news, the best part is that he had great reasons why it is not a major concern, they just didn't say "don't worry about it..." So sleep well and gear up for a GREAT cycle!

  • I'm so sorry that you have to start out like this, but trust that your doctor knows what he's doing(hard I know)! I am pulling for you.
  • Smilee, I'm glad you feel better. I too was told last month that my FSH was high, I had 12.8, as a result they denied us for shared risk. I was really worked up about it but have been told that it is a high average number. I am getting mine retested on Sat. and hopefully will be approved for shared risk if it is under 10. My first FSH level in June was 7. I hope you get some rest and you are right, it is just a number!
  • I am glad that you got some reassurance today. I really hope this cycle goes really well for you.

  • It is so hard to just accept something, especially when it's about something so huge.  But he seemed to have good explainations and full confidence.  I say leave it in the RE's hands and hopefully have a good night's sleep tonight.  Good good luck this cycle!
