Anyone else's DC have a dermoid cyst?

At Reese's 9 month check up last week his pedi referred us to an ophthalmologist at Texas Children's for his dermoid cyst.  We have an appointment on March 4.  I think his is the least dangerous kind because I'm pretty sure it isn't connected to the bone.  I guess I could explain what it is a little more...he has what looks like a little bump right next to his eye lid on his left eye.  I noticed it a few months back and at his 6 month appointment his pedi said we'd watch it to see if it got better.  Well it hasn't.  It is about the size of a bb and doesn't really seem to bother him.  I think they can remove it easily but I'm not sure what all that will entail.  I was just curious if anyone else has gone through anything similar?

    My DS didn't have that, but because he was a preemie he has to see an ophthalmologist regularly.  He sees Baylor Eye Associates at TCH, they are all wonderful and very knowledgeable.

    I had one when I was little...I had it removed when I was 3 at Tx Childrens. It was behind my left ear, I have a 2 inch thin scar as a reminder.

    I remeber my mom putting warm compresses on it like my pedi told her, after a few weeks it didn't go away and he wanted it gone.

    I had a blast at TCH..I got hot pink fuzzy slippers and my first flannel robe.
