what an amazing video.

You can see about halfway through Salma feeds a sick baby.

I really admire what she did...

What are your thoughts?

  • I also admire what she did, and i probably would have done the same thing if i were in her shoes.

and can i say that i am disgusted with all the people who commented on that site that what salma did was sick and wrong.  they obviously cannot see that what she did was beautiful and selfless, and probably kept that child alive, if only for a few more days.

  • I'm with you, I think it is a selfless, beautiful thing. And I also would probably do the same thing if I were there.
  • In addition to the points already made, the practice of employing wetnurse services was common in western culture until relatively recently, and is still common in many cultures.

  • Wow.  Although I am not a mother yet, I think what she did was amazing and incredibly selfless.
  • That's really moving. ?It shows that she was there because her heart was in it, and not for PR.

I also think it's awesome that her daughter is a year old and she's still BF'ing. ?Good for her. ?BF'ing is really hard, and I admire anyone who can do it successfully for that long.

  • Wow, that's a pretty powerful video! ?I, too, think that she did the right thing and am really impressed by it! ?

  • What a great example. She is BFing her DC past a year and BFing others. Honestly though in her culture a woman BFing another woman's starving baby would have never made the news it is just what humans do, they help each other out (there is no such thing as "that's not my problem".)
