It is time to put on your big boy pants and stop your whining. WE wanted children and unfortunately they don't come out of the womb sleeping through the night w/o any problems. I have not slept through the night in almost 5 months (more if you count the last trimester when sleeping was uncomfortable and at times downright impossible). You on the other hand have been sleeping well. Being a parent is not easy and sunshine all the time. If you honestly thought it was then you are an idiot. If you don't shape up DD will be an only child. Oh and CIO is not just turning the monitor off and letting DD scream until she falls asleep. If you want to make some "controversial" parenting suggestions you need to read and do the research so you know the effects.
Love (I think),
Your annoyed and sleep deprived wife
Re: Dear DH,
So Tasty, So Yummy
ha! I could have written this word for word when K was 5-6 months old. They do eventually "get it" (least Chad did) but it took him awhile. AND I finally one night rolled over and said "she's awake, it's your turn... I'm sleeping tonight."
We also had the "if I have to do it all, we're not having anymore kids" conversation. lol He's FINALLY realized that it takes a LOT of work to raise a kid and that he can't be passive about it.
*hugs* I hate that sometimes they just don't get it and can't be supportive of us when they don't. You definitely deserve/need a night of rest!
